IoT for Livestock

LiveCare deploys an ingestible bio-capsule that resides in a cow’s rumen and continuously collects high-fidelity physiological data independent of external environmental conditions. The system analyzes this data in real time using Artificial Intelligence to assess animal health, reproductive status, and early indicators of disease. Insights are delivered directly to farmers through mobile and web-based dashboards, enabling timely, data-driven herd management decisions.

Scope of Work & Contributions

Project Definition: Defined clear project objectives focused on improving animal health monitoring, early disease detection, and reproductive management efficiency.

Technology Evaluation: Assessed and selected appropriate Internet of Things architectures, sensors, and data platforms required for reliable, continuous bio-data collection and analysis.

Ecosystem Integration: Established connectivity with a network of approximately 10,000 cow records, enabling scalable data aggregation and benchmarking.

Deployment Support: Supported the deployment of ingestible sensors and associated monitoring infrastructure to capture physiological, behavioral, and environmental indicators.

Outcome

The initiative enabled continuous, real-time visibility into herd health and reproductive status, reducing reliance on manual observation and improving decision speed and accuracy. By combining ingestible sensing, Artificial Intelligence–based analytics, and scalable data integration, LiveCare established a robust digital foundation for modern, data-driven livestock management.
